Where the data comes from
The register is built from public certification data published by the US EPA's ENERGY STAR program, and the robot and AI hardware directories from manufacturers' own specification pages, with the source linked on every entry. We republish figures as their makers stated them and say where we calculate something ourselves. The details are on the data and methodology page.
Money never decides a ranking
Every certified model is listed. Tables are ordered by the figure they show, never by who pays us. We earn from Amazon affiliate links and from dealer and installer introductions, and neither affects what a guide says or which models appear. Product rails in guides are chosen by search and relevance rules, not bought.
How guides are written
Guides start from the decision a buyer has to make and the terms or rules that catch people out. Where a guide states a law, a regulation or a standard, it names it so you can check it. We do not publish invented statistics, fake testing or customer reviews. Guides are general information, not legal, tax or safety advice.
We use software tools, including AI, to help research, draft and check pages and to process data. Those tools work under the rules on this page, and the site's owners are responsible for everything published.
Corrections
